Alfreda Ann Jumping Elk of Parmelee entered eternal rest on Friday, August 1st at Rosebud Hospital. She was 49. She is survived by her children: Chrystal Stauft, Parmelee; Thomas Stauft, Kaimana Stauft, and Simone Stauft all of Alberta, Canada. Sisters: Ruby Ann High Elk, Parmelee; and Priscilla Ann Farrell, Parmelee. She is also survived by her husband Norman Red Star. She has three grandchildren. A Sunrise to Sunset visitation will begin at 6:30am Tuesday, August 5th at Crow Dogs Paradise. Wake services will begin at 6:00 PM Tuesday, August 5th at St. Agnes Catholic Hall, Parmelee. Funeral Services will take place at 11:00am Wednesday, August 6th at Holy Innocents Episcopal Church Parmelee, SD. Mother Lauren Stanley, Deacon George Medicine Eagle, Chief Roy Stone, and Chief Leonard Crow Dog will be officiating services. Burial will follow at Holy Innocents Episcopal Cemetery.
