Lyndell Joy Bartlett

June 7, 1976 - March 26, 2014

Lyndell Joy Bartlett, age 37, of LaPlante, SD, surrounded by her loving family, entered the Spirit World on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at the Cheyenne River Health Center. Lyndell Joy Bartlett was born to Evelyn (Veaux) Bartlett and Rudy Bartlett at Eagle Butte, SD on June 7, 1976. She was the youngest of nine children. She attended grade school at Mountain Home, Idaho, Niceville, Florida and Chamberlain, SD. She graduated from high school with high academic honors at Cheyenne-Eagle Butte in Eagle Butte, SD in 1994. She continued her education at Montana State University, Bozeman, MT in the medical field of nursing for 2 years. She then attended Bismarck State College in Bismarck, ND for two years. She was employed in Eagle Butte with Lakota Technologies Incorporated, the South Dakota Rehab Program, the Indian Health Services, and the CRST Law and Order Dept. Her faith was very deep in God the Father, His Son, Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost, and taught and understood God’s Holy word. She witnessed of His word. She will be greatly missed by many, because she was a light shining for Jesus Christ in the darkness, of this present troubled world. Sisters: Lori Bartlett, Dupree, SD, Lorencia Bartlett, Rapid City, SD. and Ruth Brown of Wanblee, SD. Uncles, Marvin Bartlett, Rapid City, SD and George Lester Bartlett, Bemidji, MN, many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She is preceded in death by her father Rudy Bartlett, grandparents George and Ellen (Handboy) Bartlett, and a nephew Ramsey Bartlett. A visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at the Rooks & Red Dog Funeral Home in Eagle Butte. Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 2 at the Rooks & Red Dog Funeral home.
