Dear Cheyenne River Lakota Oyate, please note the following notice with prayers: Kyle M. Jeffries, age 36, of Aberdeen, SD, formerly of Takini, SD, entered the Spirit World on Friday, May 1, 2020 at Aberdeen, SD. Kyle was born February 3, 1984 in Fargo, ND to Mahlon Jeffries, Sr. and Lisa Well-Callous Leg. He moved to Iron Lightning at the age of two months and later to Red Scaffold, where he attended Takini School. He graduated from High School in 2005. He then moved to Mobridge and Aberdeen for employment opportunites. Kyle is survived two sons, Anthony Sainz and Kaden Sainz of Aberdeen; four daughters, Kaylynn Sainz, April Sainz, Kylah Sainz, and Brooklyn Jeffries of Aberdeen. His father, Mahlon Jeffries, Sr. of Eagle Butte, SD, mother, Lisa Wells of Grand Forks, ND, and adopted mother, Florence Bald Eagle of Red Scaffold. Five brothers, Mahlon Jeffries, Jr. of Aberdeen, Layton Bald Eagle, Eagle Butte, Ty Jeffries, Dupree, SD, Alexander Jeffries, Grand Forks, ND and Kalen Bald Eagle of Takini, SD. And many cousins, numerous nieces, nephews, aunties and uncles. He was preceded in death by Granparents: Frank Jeffries, Connie Jeffries, Dave Bald Eagle, Sr., and Clarinda Little Crow. Cousins: Wade Jeffries, Quentin LeCompte and Kyle Harrison. Because of the CCD and CRST Covid19 health guidelines, a private funeral service for immediate family will take place at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at the Sacred Heart Church yard at Red Scaffold. Valerie Curley with officiate and burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
